2.1 Account Information

When you sign up or log in, we collect:

• Email address
• Full name
• Google profile information (name, email, profile picture) when using Google Sign-In

2.2 Content You Save

When you use Aham+ to save content, we collect and process:

• URLs you share to the app (YouTube, Instagram, websites, etc.)
• Metadata extracted from those URLs (titles, descriptions, thumbnails)
• AI-generated summaries, tags, action items, and categories
• Text notes you create within the app
• Search queries you perform

2.3 Device & Usage Information

We automatically collect:

• Device type, operating system, and version
• App version
• General usage patterns (features used, session duration)
• Crash reports and error logs

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Aham+ service
• Process and analyze content you save (generating summaries, tags, and insights)
• Enable search and AI-powered chat across your saved content
• Send you relevant nudges and reminders based on your saved content
• Authenticate your identity and secure your account
• Diagnose technical issues and improve app performance
• Communicate service updates or respond to support requests

4. AI Processing

Aham+ uses artificial intelligence to process your saved content. This includes:

• Transcribing audio/video content
• Generating summaries and key takeaways
• Categorizing and tagging content
• Creating semantic embeddings for search
• Generating action items and insights

AI processing is performed using third-party infrastructure providers (Amazon Web Services) under strict data processing agreements. Your content is processed solely to provide you with Aham+ features and is never used to train AI models.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the Asia-Pacific (Mumbai) region. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
• Encrypted database storage
• Secure authentication using JSON Web Tokens (JWT)
• Regular security audits

6. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use the following infrastructure providers solely to operate the service:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Server hosting, AI processing (Bedrock), database storage
• Google — Authentication (Google Sign-In)
• Expo (EAS) — App build and distribution

These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their respective data protection agreements.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion:

• A 30-day grace period begins during which you can cancel by logging back in
• After 30 days, all your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted
• This includes all saved content, summaries, chat history, and account information

You can request account deletion through the app or at aham.plus/delete-account.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Delete — Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Rectify — Update or correct your personal information
• Restrict — Request that we limit how we process your data
• Portability — Request your data in a machine-readable format

9. Children's Privacy

Aham+ is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete that information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of Aham+ after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
